Treasurer’s Report:
Secretary/Treasurer
Barnes announced that polls are open for the elections. Secretary/Treasurer
Barnes reported funds of $10,601.36. IRS situation is not yet finalized.
Safety Committee:
Lane
submitted a report for the training burn that was conducted on 10/27/2009.
Lane commented on what happened. Committee to meet and have discussion
on what we want to come out of this and what we want in the future.
Open discussion- public safety Committee to have a time line from
union. Needs to put teeth into it with a letter to chief with demands
with a time line.
K. Hester
made a motion to have the safety committee submit a letter to Chief
regarding incident and demands by a certain time limit. Patterson
second. Much discussion, K. Hester withdrew motion.
Patterson
made a motion to submit a letter from Patterson and Lane to Chief
in unknown days with certain resolutions and then if not met go
up the chain. Patterson also demanded an outside source to review
the safety incident and concerns. Teigeler second.
Patterson made revision of motion that grievance be made for safety
concerns and hands it to Watkins. Previous safety concerns to Watkins
for guidance. Maier Second. Y=All N=0.
Old Business:
Teigeler
did not talk to 401 regarding Honor Guard. Roman stated that Alvarado
for ELFD would allow us to join them for one month training. Maier
stated that LFD is looking at doing a Metro honor guard.

Roman
stated that the hot chocolate machine is fixed. Maier made motion
for hot chocolate for station 3. Teigeler Second. Y=14, No=2.
Hatfield
made motion to have union purchase jelly. Sarata Second. Y=9, n=9
Roman tie N. Denied jelly.
Martin
discussed MERS, pop machines, Doug Alward family benefit, and Playground
equipment. Barnes made motion to pay $200 for MERS conference Teigeler
second. Y=19, N=0.
Proebstle
motioned for a $200 to Deputy Alward benefit. Fabiano Second. Y=18,
N=1
Maier
discussed union give money to needy family for the holidays. Hutch
stated Linda and Channyn have a list. Maier motioned $200 donation.
Sarata second. Y=19, N=0
Oates
motioned union to purchase dress uniform hats at Lansing uniform.
Probation firefighters get one after probation. Hutter seconds.

MDA came
in and discussed fill the boot. Proebstle and Hutter to head up
a Fill the Boot committee. Roman to talk to 401 about this.

Martin discussed MERS conference and the cost of the conference
is $200. It is in Grand Rapids in September.
Teigeler
made a motion to adjourn meeting. Seconded by Proebstale. And a
meeting on Dec. 2, 2009. Motion passed.
